some thing I’ve lost and I just can’t find
If I think about it I don’t really mind
it’s my childhood
if I’m honest adulthood is really much better
childhood was stifled and not such a treasure
but the one thing I really do miss
is my children’s childhood
we’ll never get to get it back
it’s gone forever up the track
now they’re adults off on their own
their childhoods vanished as they’ve grown
but adulthood is really much better
