Lucky?

I did the theme prompt something you thought would be good it turned out bad something I thought would turn out bad that turned out good.

Lucky?

there was an old man who had a bean farm
The finest frijoles in all the land
then came a storm that did great harm
and covered his crops with sand
all the people said he was so unlucky
he said maybe so maybe not

sometimes you’re lucky
sometimes you’re cursed
it’s hard to tell which is which
just go with the flow and keep your center
and always roll with the pitch

and then the river
changed its course
Right through his yard with great force
he became the best fisherman
with feasts for the town
they said you’re so lucky
And then his son drowned

sometimes you’re lucky
sometimes you’re cursed
it’s hard to tell which is which
just go with the flow and keep your center
and always roll with the pitch

The next storm came through
and washed away his home
his neighbors felt so bad
on a hill, built one of stone
The next time the clouds came
The place was struck by lightning
it was a flash of enlightenment
although it was frightening

All the people said he was so unlucky
He said maybe so maybe not

The man built a contraption
and powered the whole town
and became so famous
A Man of renown

then he was killed by his own invention
in the end there’s no redemption

sometimes you’re lucky
sometimes you’re cursed
it’s hard to tell which is which
just go with the flow and keep your center
and always roll with the pitch
