Taxidermy

I think I got all the prompts this week. I did not get lyrics last week, so I did the punishment prompt of dropping a stitch, labor of love, and the power of silence. My daughters, best friend is a taxidermist, and she gave me the challenge of writing a song about taxidermy and it fit perfectly with all of the prompts so I just did them all except the rhythm.

I had a girlfriend she up and died

And I didn’t know what to do

But I have this friend, she did taxidermy

She worked down at the zoo

(Chorus)

Taxidermy taxidermy it could be the answer it could be the key

Taxidermy taxidermy I kind of like it but some don’t agree

I thought my god she’s just about perfect

She passed away in her sleep

And now that she’s learned the power of silence

I kind of want her to keep

(Chorus)

It was a labor of love And preservation

She even got that nip and tuck

It Went off without a hitch

though we dropped a stitch

She looked better than a buck

(Chorus)

So now she sits in her favorite chair

In front of the TV

She never complains

Or rambles on

Or asks anything of me

Taxidermy taxidermy

I swear it is the key

It Solved all of our problems

quite spectacularly

Without an attorney

not even a tax attorney
