we are asking wonder why
we lived a good life we were kind
we are validated in our mind
The pearly gates will open wide
what a wild wild ride
but what if we were graded
on an environmental scorecard
too much damage to the planet
i’m sorry but you’re barred
you burned two large lakes of fuel
and tons and tons of coal
and in the atmosphere
you helped to burn a hole
expelled Carbon dioxide 14 metric tons
Cut down the trees that fed your lungs
got one of those fancy coal burning cars
thought you could just move to Mars
your ecological footprint was just way too big
